Your images stay on your device. Resize processing runs in this browser with canvas export.

How the resizer works

Resize images without uploading them

IvoryInk reads your image in the browser, draws the resized result to a canvas, and creates the download locally. The original file is not sent to a IvoryInk server for processing.

Use exact pixel dimensions when you already know the size you need, resize by percentage for quick scaling, or choose a preset for common publishing targets. Fit modes give you control over whether the full image is preserved, cropped to fill, or stretched to exact dimensions.

FAQ

Image resizing questions

Can I resize JPG, PNG, and WebP files?

Yes. IvoryInk supports JPG, PNG, and WebP files for the resize tool and exports to JPG, PNG, or WebP.

Are images uploaded to a server?

No. The resize tool uses browser APIs and canvas export so the image can be resized locally on your device.

Can I keep the original aspect ratio?

Yes. Turn on the aspect ratio lock and IvoryInk will keep width and height proportional while you edit either value.

What do contain, cover, and stretch mean?

Contain keeps the full image visible, cover fills the target size and crops overflow, and stretch forces the image into the exact dimensions.

Can I resize for social media?

Yes. The preset list includes common sizes for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, Shopify, website heroes, and profile pictures.

Which export format should I choose?

Use WebP for small website files, JPG for photos that do not need transparency, and PNG when you need transparency or crisp graphics.
